I managed to update both my site and my CV at the same time yesterday, check it out here. I also added some Google AdSense advertisements to the site, in order to generate revenue to cover hosting and domain registration. Next up would be my photos/art and some writing.

I slept in Reykjavik - best souvenir, Icelandair blanket.

London has been intense.  Life is fast paced, or slow - depending on the weather. The food has been good, and I am enjoying the local sights and sounds. Photos galore.

Google just indexed MontyKaplan.com

This blog has been indexed for over a week, but it’s nice to have the .com come up number one when you put my full name into Google.

Also - I have added a comment submission form on the index page (for now). Since I don’t currently have any content up I am hoping people will keep themselves entertained through the blog and by using the form to ask me questions.

Upcoming (next month or so) content (still working on the management system):

1. my resume
2. photography/art galleries
3. project blogs/pages
4. personal photo galleries

My hosting issues have been resolved - turns out changing name servers takes a couple of days to go into effect.

As for choosing a content managment system - I believe I am sticking with WordPress for my blog.

For the rest of the site, I am test driving the other options available and seeing which one fits my style best.

So far I’ve tried Mambo and Drupal, and I believe I have ruled Drupal out and Mambo a maybe.
